Umri Christian Hospital has been serving medical needs of the poorest of the poor in rural India for 57 years. Weather and time has taken it's toll. Replacing the hospital will cost $600,000 -- a fraction of what it would cost in North America.
Multi-Media Inspiration
Riding over 2,000 miles on bicycles across India yielded a feast of photos, insights and inspiration about this incredible land and its people. It was breathtaking and motivating! We’ve prepared a brief but engaging multi-media presentation. It's both educational and inspiring. We're available on a limited basis to share it with school students, civic and service organizations, auxiliary groups and congregations. Our purpose is simply to share the experience. There is no cost. If you think this experience and presentation could be helpful, interesting, and/or inspiring in your setting, please contact John Hay, Jr. We will be honored to adapt it specifically (age, time, group, setting appropriate) to share with your group.
Ride Facts
- An international bicycling team of 5 persons and 2 support personnel
- Cycling 2,000 miles over 6 weeks
- Average distance per day: 100 kilometers
- Ride dates: December 30, 2006 - February 8, 2007
- Route: Nagercoil (southern tip of India) to Delhi
- Team will raise awareness & donations in North America and in communities along the route

- Goal: raise $600,000 to rebuild Umri Christian Hospital

Credit Card Donations
Credit card donations may also be mailed directly to the King Trust Charitable Fund, P.O. Box 580, Spring Arbor, MI 49283 for "Umri Christian Hospital Foundation, Bicycle India 2007." Be sure to include your name as it appears on your card, full address, phone # with area code, card type, card #, expiration (mm/yyyy), along with the amount you wish to donate. You will receive a receipt within a week.
